Open platform · Open protocols · Open to all!

Your choice of hardware.
And your choice of firmware.

Most projects run beautifully on a single firmware package — we choose the one that best fits the building, the fixture package and the budget. What makes Energio different is what happens next: when a project needs a capability only another platform has, we mix those devices into the same system. INGY, Meshle, Casambi or Bluetooth NLC — alone, or together.

Energio Controls · We are Open!

We are Open!
And AI Ready!

A system from Energio Controls can now be fully automated with a choice of multiple AI platforms. The future of Building Automation is here!

Firmware-agnostic

Our selection of firmware packages all have unique capabilities. We choose the package that best fits the needs of your project — all with the same hardware.

We are Open! — No proprietary trap!

From BACnet to Z-Wave and every open building standard in between — we can integrate with them all!

Retrofit without regret

Our wireless mesh system allows you to add new controls, without adding new control or power wiring! We may even be able to reuse components from your existing system.

Our Firmware Choices

Firmware platform Transmission Technology Application Layer Commissioning Method
INGY Wirepas INGY INGY Smartphone App, MobiusFlow Dashboard or AI interface.
Meshle Bluetooth Meshle Meshle Smartphone App.
Casambi Proprietary Bluetooth Casambi Casambi Smartphone App.
Bluetooth NLC Bluetooth Bluetooth NLC Any NLC-qualified App, MobiusFlow Dashboard or AI interface.

INGY, Meshle, Casambi, Bluetooth NLC and Wirepas are trademarks of their respective owners. Wirepas is not a firmware platform — it is the transmission technology INGY runs on, which is why INGY appears here and Wirepas does not. Confirm device-level compatibility with your Energio applications engineer before specifying.

Transmission Technology is the method of broadcasting information. The Application Layer is the specific set of commands, instructions and capabilities developed by each firmware developer and specific to that firmware package. Each firmware package has unique advantages and limitations.

MobiusFlow — the ultimate integration machine.

MobiusFlow is our exclusive partner in the lighting industry — an integration engine whose entire job is speaking other systems' languages. It is the reason multiple firmware packages can share one network, the reason wired DALI sits happily alongside wireless mesh, and the reason lighting data lands in a building automation platform without a custom driver written for your job alone.

Every device — mesh node, DALI luminaire, 0–10V driver, DMX fixture, sensor, meter — is modelled once, then published to whatever the building already runs. BACnet, Modbus, KNX, MQTT, REST: if it is an open standard, it is a configuration choice rather than a development project. It is also how a single scene can dim fixtures running three different dimming protocols at once.

One integration layer, not one driver per project. It is also what lets an AI platform read and control the whole building through a single, documented interface.

A new kind of controls company

Open, but not on your own.

Open equals Choices

Open standards usually come with a catch: a dozen vendors, a dozen invoices, and nobody who owns the outcome. Energio Controls sources and stocks every component a complete lighting control system needs — from the premier controls ecosystem partners worldwide — and ships the job complete from our Atlanta-area warehouse.

Our engineering staff provides the design and specification work, onsite and remote installation support, and commissioning services. One source for the hardware, the drawings and the person who answers the phone.

Continuing education

Lunch, and a little learning.

Our AIA-registered sessions cover open-standard wireless control, sensor-shared building data, and how to write a spec that survives value engineering. We bring the lunch. You bring the questions — the harder the better.

Tell us about your project.

Send drawings, a fixture schedule, or three sentences on a napkin. An applications engineer — a human one — will come back with a device count, a firmware recommendation and a budget number.
